About the character “Lyell”.

Daniel Pascale brought the Lyell character to life. Filmed on a windy day at Highland Park. We had to find the actor first and then develop the illustration. We wanted Lyell to appear in the book. Lyell at first has little patience for his younger secret informer apprentice, but by meeting number three comes to respect and appreciate the young secret informer for his majesty. The character Lyell adds another dimension to the Joshua Nooverdod experience and imagination for the young reader. The reader gets to pretend they are a secret informer for his majesty and interacts with one of the books characters. Lyell’s exaggeration about the prince rubbing his shoulders is told but the reader knows better as the truth as to what happened is included in the story.
